"An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager within the newly established Specialist Lending business within Admiral Money. As we develop a market leading, digital first, specialist lending proposition; we need to build a talented team to help make it a reality.
Working as part of the Proposition & Product team you will partner with a range of colleagues and suppliers and be responsible for project managing our core platform delivery. The opportunities do not stop with launch as we have an ambitious plan to not just continually improve our product; but to also develop into other areas of specialist lending.
With experience of delivering complex IT-enabled projects, you will be accustomed to delivering projects with a mix of internal scrum teams, external professional services resource, 3rd party integrated services and with significant business input.

Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.
The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.
We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.
Main duties
The Project Manager roles are designed to support the Director of Proposition and Product. You will help to deliver key parts of the new specialist lending organisation, in a way that is aligned with wider Admiral project governance standards.
It will be second nature to you to drive out the detail of activities to be completed, understand dependencies and risks, organise and coordinate colleagues and suppliers, create and manage project plans and work with stakeholders and suppliers to drive delivery.
Other things, as you’d expect, include:
- Scoping, defining, and managing project plans including workstream planning and Critical path analysis to provide realistic and sufficiently detailed projects plans
- Adapting between various project and delivery methodologies as needed across multiple suppliers and services
- Managing project and associated work ongoing, getting involved in the detail where needed
- Dealing with Issues as they arise and having risk and dependency management as second nature
- Analysing situations, presenting options and making recommendations to keep the project on track
- Staying on top of project documentation so internal assurance and external audit requirements are fully satisfied
- Experience of test planning as part of project delivery will be beneficial
- Communicating status and progress with key stakeholders
- Previous experience of IT project management will be essential to this role, as is a strong focus on business analysis and development functions to facilitate quality focused business change.

- With experience of Mortgages or Specialist Lending, you will be quick to make an impact
- Ideally you’ll understand intermediaries and Direct-to-Consumer channels
- Experience of Confluence and JIRA would also be helpful
