Scrum Master (12 month fixed term)

Fixed Term contract (12 months). 

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team of ServiceNow subject matter experts delivering exciting new capabilities into our business.  As a Scrum Master you will facilitate agile methodologies and practices within the team, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality solutions.  You will collaborate across all the key stakeholders to drive the successful delivery of solutions covering the roadmap, business change and business as usual workload. 

Main Duties & Accountabilities

• Scrum facilitation: Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospectives.
• Team Support: coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, practices and framework to promote continuous improvement
• Collaboration: Ensure collaboration and communication between cross-functional teams, including product managers/owners, business analysts, developers, testers and stakeholders
• Backlog Management: Work closely with the product manager to prioritize the backlog ensuring alignment within business objectives and customer needs
• Remove obstacles: Identify and address obstacles that hinder the teams progress, escalating issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Reporting: Monitor and report on team performance such as velocity, burndown charts, sprint progress.
• Stakeholder engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, provide status updates and educate around development processes and key timelines.
• Stay current with ServiceNow releases and new features, and industry trends recommending innovative solutions to enhance business processes  

Role Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a scrum master
• Scrum Master certification
• Strong Problem Solving skills
• Excellent communications and stakeholder management
• Experience with agile tools such as Jira/ServiceNow Agile
• Good understanding of the ITIL framework

Highly Desirable

• ITSM tools and best practice use
• ServiceNow platform familiarity in terms of modules and overall capabilities
