"Admiral is on an exciting journey, maturing Data Governance and Management across all of our Data Domains. As part of this we have been running a continuous improvement Data Risk programme, which will continue through 2024 and beyond. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a small but focussed team to lead delivery of this programme of work.
This role is critical to support data risk reduction activities across the business.
Working in a fast-moving environment, you will be highly motivated and passionate about reducing data risk while working closely with key stakeholders, senior management, and delivery teams across all areas of the business.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project backlog working closely with our data risk team, support risk identification activities, develop business cases, manage project delivery, and manage stakeholder engagement, all while applying project governance to achieve outcomes aligned to the organisational risk appetite.
Main Duties
- Manage, prioritise and maintain the data risk backlog working closely with the data risk team
- Develop proposals, business cases, scope definition to transition backlog items to active workstreams following appropriate approval processes
- Follow organisational and ‘best practice’ project management processes to manage and deliver agreed business outcomes and value within budget, quality and time
- Contribute to, and lead components of, the organisational change strategy including the development of roadmaps, priorities, budgets, resourcing and communication plans
- Ensuring project decisions, proposals & recommendations are aligned with strategy and desired business outcomes
- Represent initiative (domain space) across company prioritisation activities, functions and programmes
- Maintain engagement of key stakeholders and steering group through regular communications, steering packs, requirement for decisions/prioritisation, and formal/informal meetings
- Ensure adequate resources, including recruitment of contractors or securing internal resource commitments where necessary
- Motivate and inspire the project team
- Where required - be involved personally in project to troubleshoot or apply own SME input

- Experience working in complex projects strongly desirable
- Qualifications / experience with Project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, APM etc.) desirable
- Able to manage own professional behaviours through natural peaks and troughs of planned project work
Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
