About Veygo

Veygo is an independent company built and owned by Admiral operating within the Admiral Pioneer business.

Admiral Pioneer is a new business within Admiral Group with the objective of seeding, launching, and scaling new businesses that will become one of the growth engines for Admiral in the future. These new businesses will anchor around meeting customer needs in growth areas. We will achieve this by experimenting and proving new products, business models, and partnerships.

Veygo is one of these new businesses and at the forefront of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) revolution, providing transport solutions for customers with and without cars. We want to make life easier for those wishing to share cars, use their own temporarily, or for learner drivers looking to practice in a family member’s or friends’ car. In short, we want to help people be able to get behind the wheel of a car, even if they don’t own one.

Our journey started in 2016 and it has been a challenging and exciting few years to disrupt the sector and show that tech allows us to provide great products, and in a way that is in line with the modern-day lifestyle. We are building a dynamic and energizing environment where we will provide all the excitement and freedom of a scale-up but with the support and stability of an established large organisation. As of today, we have a strong team of 60, but with a clear idea of where we want to go in the next few years, we need to strengthen it to keep pushing forward. About the Role

Are you an experienced Product Manager or Product Owner? Do you want true ownership of the product and customer experience to make a positive difference for customers and the business? Do you want the challenging but exciting opportunity to help shape a growing team and be part of the mobility revolution? If so – read on.

You will own a distinct Product area within Veygo with responsibility for the product lifecycle from defining the scope, building the proposition within an agile environment, creating a great customer experience, and acquiring, and then retaining customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Customer
    • You will be passionate about the needs and desires of our customers. You will constantly cultivate your understanding of the customer and their problems and use insight to develop solutions to meet the jobs to be done. You will advocate and champion them in the design and refinement of your solution.
  • Create
    • You will rapidly gather insight, design, prototype, and test solutions to reduce ambiguity. If testing is successful you will work with stakeholders to create a case to deliver this solution and prioritise it within the existing roadmap. You will create clear requirements and break down the proposal into manageable chunks of work starting with an intuitive MVP.   
  • Delivery
    • Working in line with our agile sprint processes you will steer the product through the build process to delivery, dealing with obstacles in your stride. Eventually you will work with the sales and service teams to put the product or feature in the hands of the customer.
  • Commerciality
    • You will be responsible for scoping the business case for your product and constantly test and develop your ‘product-market fit’. You will create and take responsibility for the budget, OKR’s, and metrics to ensure targets are surpassed.
  • Growth
    • You will influence other areas to ensure they are aligned with the product strategy and roadmap, and that we are maximising growth through our channels through differentiated and effective execution.
  • Compliance
    • You will work with representatives from across the business to ensure standards of security and resilience are met and any legislative standards are adhered to.

|Knowledge and Abilities

  • Passionate about the business, role, customers, and product
  • Comfortable working in an environment of ambiguity - can take an idea, design, and develop a prototype for testing, and translate the results into a recommendation
  • Can use multiple sources of data to inform prioritisation and business decisions
  • Skilled at making the complex simple – taking large tasks and breaking them down into manageable chunks of work in an intuitive manner
  • Ability to remain focused on delivery while managing multiple tasks and stakeholders
  • Effective and concise reporting and communications with the ability to influence other stakeholders where needed on what we are doing and why
  • Results-driven - you will want processes to run smoothly and you will use data and results to support decisions
  • An active supporter of continuous learning - able to test, learn and adapt

|Experience

  • Demonstratable track record in the successful growth of a product through personal initiatives including new product development, improvements to customer journeys, and the influencing of cross functional areas such as Marketing to deliver customer and revenue growth
  • Previous ownership and improvement of Profit and Loss, budget, acquisition, retention, and customer experience metrics (NPS, CES)
  • Experience leading the design and development of a digital product or proposition from idea to launch
  • Proven track record of deploying design thinking to solve problems or realise product and customer experience opportunities
  • Effectively conducted research and data to generate insights to inform business decisions
  • Experience of leading and managing multi-functional teams to deliver on deadline and within budget
  • Proven project management experience across a virtual and remotely located team
  • Worked within an agile environment and owned the prioritisation of backlogs
  • Helped create product strategies and roadmap
  • Continuously improved team processes
  • Experience of creating and delivering commercial business cases
  • Ideally have experience managing products within a financial services or regulated environment
