Product Manager - Confused.com

We are looking for a talented and driven Product Manager to join our Personal Finance team to create market-leading customer journeys, develop and build partnerships within the industry, and help Confused.com bring clarity to the confusion within ‘the world of personal finance’. If you are experienced in product management and enjoy a challenge then you might be just what we’re looking for.

Key competencies

  • You will play an active part in creating and delivering Confused.com’s personal finance strategy, including engaging in market and customer research to support business cases, and to further our presence in the Personal Finance space
  • You will define product changes and improvements, and work directly with internal and external tech teams to deliver them
  • For products which are provided on a white label basis, you will work closely with our third-party partners to define and deliver product changes, whilst managing relationships on behalf of Confused.com
  • You may be asked to act as a Scrum Product Owner for sprints, or large projects in your area
  • You’ll be able to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks to deliver results within agreed timescales, running projects from inception to completion
  • You’ll challenge the status quo, reviewing established processes and offering innovative solutions. You’ll be able to anticipate potential problems and suggest different approaches
  • You may also be involved in the management of service providers, including members of our provider panel, working closely on partner MI to identify improvements and working with  relationship managers on opportunities for panel growth.
  • You may be asked to manage third party product providers of the underlying product experience to ensure smooth and high performing customer journeys, analytics, and data provision
  • You’ll use product MI, including Tableau and Google Analytics, to track product and partner performance and to ensure we are maximising our opportunities
  • You’ll manage product performance budgets, focusing on key conversion metrics and that may include sales, revenue and profitability targets
  • You’ll work closely with design and UX experts to continuously improve customer journeys and conversions through the website as well as using tools to identify where customers are struggling
  • You’ll carry out regular competitor and customer research to understand changes in the market or consumer behaviour, to ensure we are keeping up with market and consumer trends and to identify opportunities
  • You’ll work closely with our customer support team to both make sure we are addressing our customers’ issues and identify key trends to take into consideration in the product roadmap
  • You’ll work closely with the Ops team to make sure you understand the site performance and any key trends we need to address in the product backlog
  • You will support your team in ensuring we have the right controls in place and ensuring Confused.com treats our customers fairly.
  • You may be asked to manage others within the team at times, informally or formally
