Pricing Manager - Veygo

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in Veygo for a Pricing Manager to join the Data and Pricing team. You’ll report into the Head of Data and Pricing, and own and manage a portfolio of change and improvement ideas with loss ratio performance as a focus.

Veygo is an independent company within Admiral Pioneer, a new business within Admiral Group with the objective of seeding, launching, and scaling start-ups.

Veygo is at the forefront of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) revolution and is growing fast. We want to make life easier for those wishing to share cars, use their own temporarily, or for learner drivers looking to practice in a family member’s or friends’ car. In short, we want to help people be able to get behind the wheel of a car, even if they don’t own one.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Loss Ratio Management

• Analysing Veygo’s pricing structures and past performance to improve risk management
• Maintain datasets used within pricing structures
• Implementing rate changes accurately and in a timely manner
• Assessing the usefulness of existing and new variables in the pricing structures and implementing solutions
• Assessing the usefulness of external data sources, implementing solutions and managing partnerships with data vendors
• Analysing and implementing fraud solutions
• Maintain good data governance, ensuring that data is both stored and used in line with regulations

Growth Opportunities

• Own and manage a portfolio of change and improvement ideas with growth performance as a focus
• Identifying and supporting the implementation of growth opportunities
• Pro-actively providing thought leadership and insights to support growth and strategic decision making

Communication and Collaboration

• Highly visible presence across the business, integral to decision making forums and stakeholders ensuring Veygo is making data and customer led decisions
• Operates as a business partner to key internal and external stakeholders
• Communicating results and ideas to key decision makers across Veygo
• Collaborating with peers in pricing, data and with stakeholders from all relevant areas of the business
• Creation, implementation and maintenance of ad-hoc and periodical business reports (e.g., including profitability insights on conversion, life-time value, expenses, etc.)

People Management

• Management and development of other members of the team
• Ensuring the team is highly visible and continuously providing loss ratio improvements and growth opportunities

Key Skills

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills supported by a solid academic and work background
• Experience of coding language. Preferably with Veygo’s analytical tools (Tableau, SQL and Python).
• Willingness to learn from the bottom up and put in the time to acquire the necessary technical skills
• Proactive and creative approach to taking initiative and getting things done
• Team player with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
