Admiral has always considered our pricing capability to be a fundamental cornerstone of the successful growth of our business. We are now looking for a motivated, skilled and experienced individual in pricing to join our Admiral Business team within Admiral Pioneer that is developing a new proposition for small businesses.

The Pricing Lead will play an instrumental role in designing and implementing the pricing strategy and models for our proposition, which will comprise a range of products to protect small businesses (e.g. Liability, Property and Professional Indemnity.).

The Pricing Lead will develop and refine our pricing models to market so that we can develop insight into pricing strategies by product and customer segment, enabling us to gauge how and when to participate in pricing for the different products and navigating profitable growth.

The ideal candidate will be excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment to build a new business and will combine hands-on pricing experience with a passion for leveraging the potential of data and advanced analytics.

Role Responsibilities

  • Pricing Modelling - Creating, analysing and refining our pricing structures across a range of small business insurance products to drive business performance
  • Analytics Development - Assessing the usefulness of external data sources and managing data partnerships.
  • Portfolio Management – Developing pricing insights, communicating results and developing pricing proposals to enhance business performance
  • Collaboration – Work with pricing & analytics peers across Admiral Group to take advantage of relevant experience and expertise.
  • Statistical Analysis - Your ability to compile and analyze statistical data provides valuable insights for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Cultural Alignment - You embody our culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity. Your 'can-do' attitude and commitment to excellence set the standard for our team.

Key Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Knowledge: You have a deep understanding of SME insurance and pricing
  • Experience: Your track record demonstrates your proficiency in pricing modelling, management and decision-making. You will have experience in using pricing tools and software packages such as SAS and Emblem.
  • Problem-Solving: Your analytical skills and strategic mindset enable you to identify opportunities, threats and overcome challenges.
  • Analytical Acumen: You're skilled in compiling and analyzing statistical data to share and communicate with business stakeholders to inform strategic decisions. Your curiosity to develop pricing models means you are seeking out new data sets to utilise.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Cultural Alignment: Your values align with our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.

We operate a hybrid working approach in Admiral Business with our office in Central Cardiff and homeworking.
