"As the EUI Portfolio Office System Administrator, you will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and administration of our JIRA delivery and PPM tooling. You will work closely with our delivery teams, Portfolio Analysts and other system administrators to effectively manage the growing requirements for development and reduced complexity of our tooling. We are looking for a passionate technologist who will enjoy collaborating with Agile delivery teams, you’ll need to be great with engaging others, collaborating and concise in helping people understand the best solution to their requirements.
We need someone who can help with our strategic journey to lean portfolio management, better value realisation and tracking of metrics. Are you someone who understands the bigger picture, (as well as the detail), that can excel in tooling administration and improvements?

Key responsibilities
- Jira Global Administration
- Stakeholder engagement to establish requirement and solution options
- Project Creation
- Workflow changes, corrections and investigations
- Issue Type and Custom Field creation and allocation to projects and screens schemes
- Permission changes (inc. Group management where applicable)
- Global automation administration to improve and optimise data quality and reduce manual intervention
- App and integration management
- App configuration after initial set up
- Providing user support, SME guidance and best practice for Jira and PPM Tooling
- Managing access for PPM tooling and Power BI reporting workspaces
- Providing field and page amendments to PPM tooling to support business processes
- Ensuring tooling decisions align with the long-term approach to providing an efficient and effective service that can be maintained within the current constraints
Essential skills and qualifications
- Certification in JIRA Administrator for Cloud, experience administering, configuring and managing service for Atlassian Products (JIRA Cloud, Confluence)
- Experience with Jira integration with other tools and platforms
- Strong understanding of workflows, fields, permissions, notifications with an in-depth knowledge of JQL queries, reporting capabilities and dashboards
- Strong JIRA Cloud configuration and proficiency in vetting, testing, installing and configuring add-ons
- Working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies, and Agile best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions to user / business requirements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively and implement tooling management strategies that align with organisational goals
Desirable skills and qualifications
- Experience of Microsoft Project Online, Planview or similar
- Experience coaching and upskilling others in JIRA
- Leading SAFe® or similar Agile certification
