"Admiral has been selling Pet Insurance through a 3rd party since 2009 and made the decision to bring it in house in June 2022.This, coupled with the recent acquisition of MoreThan Pet insurance is causing rapid growth in terms of policy book and staffing.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Pet Team to assist our customers with everything from a renewing policy, customer service queries and even setting up a brand new policy for their beloved pet.
Full and extensive training is provided, so you won’t need specific pet insurance experience, but it would be a bonus. All we ask is that you’re up for the challenge and have a growth mindset to learn all about Pet Insurance and put it into practice for our customers – being a motivated, adaptable, and confident individual will be key.
Main Duties:
- Answering in-bound calls across multiple skillset areas.
- Making outbound calls to support our customers when required
- Ensuring customers receive first-class service whilst retaining business.
- Following scripts and processes to remain compliant.
- Amending quotes and policies as required.
- Accepting new business.
- Retaining policies for our existing customers
- Working towards KPI’s and targets.
- Ensuring all work is dealt with accurately and in a timely manner.
- Updating policies and leaving concise notes.
- Keeping customers updated where necessary.
- Suggesting positive solutions within the customer journey.
Requirements:
- Experience within sales/renewals and negotiating is desirable.
- Able to connect with customers over their love of pets and show excitement and empathy
- Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptable and open to change – there will be ongoing development within the business and we will test, learn and change quickly
- Offer new ideas to the department on how we can better processes.
- Someone who is adaptable, flexible and develop.
- Ability to have a willingness to learn and takes on constructive feedback.
- A genuine interest and care for pets and our customers.
- A team player, who is also capable of working independently.
Please note the start date for this role is 15th April 2024 and the starting salary is £23,400

Tell us about you and your Admiral story?
I joined Admiral in October 2020 as a Renewals Consultant. I dealt directly with Renewals queries and then moved into the Customer Value team, dealing with mid-term customers and upselling Multi Product. During my time in the Contact Centres, I helped with Volume Recruitment from time to time, and this prompted me to pursue a full-time role in recruitment, which I started in March 2022.
