Job Purpose:
Admiral Financial Services Limited (AFSL) is a division of Admiral Group which provides unsecured personal loans and car finance to UK consumers.
You will work cross functionally with marketing, product and creative teams, agencies, and other partners to deliver the digital marketing strategy for AFSL.
This will involve managing day to day relationships with stakeholders, running multiple projects at once and delivering activities that engage with customers, increase brand awareness and contribute to sales of car finance and personal loans.
Main duties:
- Work closely with the Content team and our SEO agency to develop new editorial content and optimise existing content for SEO, helping to support AFSL’s SEO position through content edits, content generation and keyword research.
- Produce an editorial content plan, writing and commissioning SEO friendly blog content which is included in customer quarterly e-newsletter campaigns.
- Work with our SEO agency and internal developers to monitor web rankings for core product pages, identify and implement recommendations.
- Take the lead in effectively improving the organic search visibility of AFSL products by utilising best practices and on site optimisation with engaging, user centred, and data driven content.
- Work with AFSL and the ECRM team to research, produce and send relevant email campaigns to AFSL customers.
- Support the PR team by researching and executing digital public relations campaigns which generate positive media coverage, backlinks and web traffic.
- Produce and publish organic social media posts to support media relations activity, share industry stories, or promote new content.
- Monitor the news and competitors PR, Content and Social Media activity and identify opportunities for newsjacking or expert commentary
- Monitor and evaluate campaigns, producing and contributing to regular reports.
- Work with the Content team to lead the ideation process, including brainstorming, copywriting, creating content briefs, proofreading and editing externally commissioned copy.
- Hold regular meetings with the AFSL compliance team and conduct review of all web copy every six months [NV1] to ensure full compliance with FCA regulations
- Liaise with business wide specialists to maintain brand tone of voice consistency across customer facing communication including letters, emails, and web copy
- Deliver projects from concepts to final output within tight deadlines, ensuring that internal processes are followed and the relevant approvals are in place
- You’ll be expected to complete regular company-wide internal training as well as any external training relating to the role
Skills and Experience Required:
- Ability to work under pressure and assist with multiple projects
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Working knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practice
- Good attention to detail and analytical skills
- ‘A minimum of two years Marketing experience in a relevant role’
- Proactive, flexible team player with a strong work ethic
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and be proactive
- Ability to work independently when needed
- Confident, personable and professional, with a positive attitude
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Customer-centric, with the ability to consider various perspectives and needs
Educational Qualifications Required:
- A degree or equivalent
- An understanding of editing and producing plain HTML for web pages.
