We are looking for a Legal Auditor to join Admiral Law’s Audit team.

As an Auditor you will be a support to the rest of the business and will work under the direction of the Audit Manager as well as in conjunction with the wider Quality and Governance Department.

The main duties of the successful candidate will be to:

  • Complete Thematic Audit projects which will involve:       
    • Determining the scope of the project taking into consideration the stakeholder requests and the risks the Audit is required to address.
    • Detailed file reviews with a focus on identifying quality issues, risks to the business, training needs and Root Cause Analysis. 
    • Meeting with members of staff from across the business to discuss department processes and areas of focus for audits.
    • Keeping accurate records of data reviewed, and findings, for the purposes of report drafting.
    • Data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Drafting concise and accurate Audit Reports; setting out issues identified and recommendations to address risks identified within the report.  Selecting an appropriate RAG rating for the report.    
    • Chairing recommendation meetings with Ops and HoDs to agree action plans and set timetables for completion.
  • Peer review the Audit Reports of team members; identifying areas of strength and areas for improvement. Assist on department projects when required
  • Draft action plans and provide feedback to progress claims where appropriate
  • Assist with the administration of the Audit Tracker to keep an accurate record of the completion of agreed Audit actions.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a sound knowledge of Personal Injury claims, and their underlying processes.
  • Have experience of litigated Personal Injury Claims
  • Be able to work to specific deadlines.
  • Have an analytical approach and excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work both as a team member and on their own initiative
  • Possess a willingness to learn
  • Be customer and process focused and possess great business awareness.
  • Be computer literate: to include excel
  • Be organised, self-motivated and have excellent written and communication skills
  • Be able to work on more than one project at once.

Experience of handling personal injury claims from a Claimant perspective is desirable, as is experience of using our case management system, Filestream.  In addition, previous experience of auditing would be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will receive full mentoring and training in auditing technique and requirements. The role does not involve supervision of other staff but experience of supervising or managing personal injury case handlers would be an advantage.
