The Role
We are looking for someone to join our team as the Infrastructure Manager, who can bring tech happiness and sense of caring to every opportunity here at AFSL. Whilst helping remove barriers you will be making things better. This role will be a healthy split of team management and technical hands on with the opportunity to grow your skills in both areas as the business grows.
You will be joining a highly motivated, tech savvy and fast paced IT Operations team with a large programme of change planned for the foreseeable future. You will be providing a mixture 3rd line support for all the business users requirements whilst actively rolling out new technologies and watching the business grow from the inside out.
You will be an organised, enthusiastic self-starter, a problem solver and to top it off a great communicator, able work closely with our colleagues and any third parties that might be involved in the delivery of our services to the business. You will be someone that people can trust and turn to for help and support, you will be a keen learner and willing to increase your knowledge, skills and progress your career and grow with the company.
Key duties:
- Manage workflow and priorities across technical projects.
- Manage team workloads to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Provide management reports on status and identify blockers and solutions.
- Work with suppliers to shape the services we want to consume and hand over to the service delivery team read of SLA and OLA wrapping.
- Management of the MS Azure, AAD, 365 SaaS environments.
- Liaising with core delivery teams around and outside the Admiral Group.
- Work with both test and production systems and environments.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Support & manage the implementation of new services from suppliers and internal teams.
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
- Test and evaluate new technology.
Essential experience:
- A proven background in an IT support / Infrastructure function.
- Previous experience of supervising a team within a Support / Infrastructure function.
- Experience of working in the financial services sector.
- Customer focused.
- Keen learner.
- Can do attitude.
Desired experience:
- Administration and troubleshooting of AWS / Azure Active Directory / MS 365 collaboration suite
- Intune configuration for Windows, Apple, Android and iOS
- JAMF configuration for Apple Mac deployment
- Apple Mac support
- Related professional qualifications
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial sector
- Any other cloud Technology certifications
- SaaS / IaaS / PaaS migrations, configuration, customisation
On call schedule:
- At this level you will be expected to be available as required during infrastructure changes crisis management / break fix scenarios.
*First stage interviews will take place during the week commencing 29th November, 2021.
