Head of Technical Household Claims.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to be an integral lead within our Household Complex Claims Department. In this role you will help define and drive forward the Household Complex Claims strategy. Leading a team of Operations Managers and working closely with other Heads of Departments to deliver relevant updates relating to KPI’s, whilst taking ownership of key risks within the Household Complex Claims department.
You will be accountable for the following:
Day to day duties
- Ensuring claims handled within the Household Complex Claims department are done so in adherence to departmental processed and procedures.
- Ensuring all processes and procedures deliver a balance of maintaining good customer outcomes and a control of claims spend and duration.
- Ensuring processes and procedures are reviewed in line with the defined schedule.
- Produce appropriate updates for Senior Management, Team Managers and the whole department.
- Working collaboratively with your Operations Management Team to ensure Team Managers are setting targets for their teams on completing urgent post and actioning important tasks
- Ensuring the caseloads and WIP in the department is managed to remain at an acceptable level.
- Ensuring adequate oversight and control of the reserves within the Household Complex Claims department.
Data & MI
- Ensuring departmental reporting is reviewed and actioned upon by the Management team.
- Ensuring exception reporting is in place and actioned by the relevant team
- Using the MI available to help drive department performance and deliver strategic KPI’s.
Quality Control and KPI’s.
- Ensuring KPI’s are relevant and that controls are in place to monitor them.
- Ensure there is the required focus on areas that need improvement.
- Ensuring plans are in place to improve and drive KPI’s forward.
- Ensuring the department reviewing strategy is adhered to.
Department Engagement
- Ensuring the department have a strategy to ensure that staff are engaged and ensure the strategy is being fulfilled.
- Review staff surveys and ensure we are continuously working towards better staff engagement.
- Provide regular forums for staff to be able to give open and honest feedback.

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
