Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the engineering strategy to scale our modular insurance platform.
- Build and support empowered, high-performing engineering teams across multiple domains.
- Scale and evolve a cloud-native, distributed architecture with best-in-class observability and automation.
- Embed agentic and independent-agent paradigms into our platform and product capabilities.
- Champion engineering excellence through continuous delivery, clean code, and robust governance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Commercial teams to drive customer-centric innovation.
- Establish and uphold elite standards in security, reliability, and operational excellence
Skills and Experience
- Deep expertise in engineering high-scale, distributed systems.
- Proven experience architecting and operating cloud-native, event-driven platforms (preferably AWS or GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to adopt or pioneer agentic software patterns and orchestrated autonomous systems.
- Strong track record of running cross-functional teams in agile, fast-paced environments.
- Passion for delivering measurable customer value through high-quality software.
- Solid understanding of engineering governance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitOps, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setup and supporting distributed teams.

What areas do you look after?
I currently recruit for our Non-Motor departments.
Tell us about you and your Admiral story?
I joined Admiral in October 2020 as a Renewals Consultant. I dealt directly with Renewals queries and then moved into the Customer Value team, dealing with mid-term customers and upselling Multi Product. During my time in the Contact Centres, I helped with Volume Recruitment from time to time, and this prompted me to pursue a full-time role in recruitment, which I started in March 2022.
