This is a pivotal role within the Growth team, with a view to providing a growth opportunity to learn more about a wider set of marketing strategies and channels.  The role will report into the Chief Growth Officer and support the wider business with a clear commercial steer and strategy to expedite growth.

What the job involves:

As Head of Commercial Performance, you will take full ownership of our commercial performance strategy and reporting of all our commercial KPIs. Identifying, understanding and managing our key levers included but not limited to traffic, bounce, targeting,  channel performance, pricing, conversion, whilst controlling CAC, CPS and CPA across both channels – Web and App.

As a cross-channel leader, you will be a key player in driving various KPIs, including but not limited to sales, written premium and CAC. You will cater for the consumer journey holistically, drive synergies across media, and ensure our performance is greater than the sum of its (channel) parts.

Leading the paid search, biddable and affiliate teams, you will design market-specific strategies, deliver effective and innovative campaigns to drive growth. You will also work cross-functionally with other departments (broader digital, brand, retention, pricing, CRO and advocacy) to drive product revenue, customer acquisition, and brand love. Crucially, you will work closely with our brand team and creative agencies to deliver best-in-class assets and formats suitable for various biddable environments.


As the team’s lead, you will also coach and develop your team members, help bring the best out of every individual to deliver high performance, while ensuring team cohesion.

Operating in a hyper-growth environment, the role is fast-paced, dynamic, multi-tasking, and entrepreneurial. This role requires a high energy, high-performing and relentlessly curious and data curious individual.

Role Accountabilities

  • Build a strategy to drive revenue, customer growth and retention for Veygo.com and App
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Paid Search team and oversee the execution of.
  • Lead channel forecasting, budget management, and be accountable for channels P&L.
  • Own/Chair the weekly trading meeting, co ordinating the right individuals to report on weekly trading performance and own any gap closure exercises
  • Proactively source innovation and growth opportunities, from the adoption of relevant alphas/ betas to onboarding of new platforms/ partners.
  • Work closely with Data Science team to build requirements of our One customer view/Attribution modelling/Propensity modelling ambition and support delivery of
  • Work closely with the brand team, Creative Agency and inhouse design resource to create best in class digital assets across channels.
  • Represent Performance Marketing team in weekly/monthly forums, and proactively shape campaigns for new products/GTM and tactical trading initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Organic, Paid Social, and Advocacy teams to create innovative viral campaigns to drive product sales, brand awareness, and brand advocacy.
  • Lead and support channel leads in the negotiation of strategic Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with big tech (e.g. Google, Meta, TikTok).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive 1st party data growth, contribute to audience segmentation and activation efforts.
  • Support the sourcing, screening, and onboarding of relevant Martech/ Ad Tech stack as an when required.
  • Support cross-functional teams to deliver new products and GTM to drive growth across the whole business
  • Keep abreast of trends, innovation, best practice, put them into operation, and help educate the wider team regarding these latest developments.
  • Monitor competitors and keep pace with changing consumer behaviour and macro-dynamics.
  • Help foster a data-driven, best-practice led, high-performance culture.
  • Manage budgets to achieve best ROI and continuous improvement and efficiency driving

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Adapting quickly to changes, navigate ambiguity, and embrace new opportunities and challenges that arise. 
  • Multi- tasker – the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, on brand, on time and within budget.
