Finance Lead Specialist Mortgages

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Lead within the newly established Specialist Mortgage Lending business at Admiral Money. This role is seen as an important piece of the puzzle in creating and building a market leading, digital first, specialist lending proposition.

About the Role

Reporting functionally to the Head of Funding and Analysis, and operationally to the Specialist Mortgages Director, this newly formed role will be the Finance Lead for the Specialist Mortgages division of Admiral Money.

The role will be the focal point for finance in the division, with priorities aligned those operations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Specialist Mortgages leadership team as the finance representative, providing financial analysis, support and guidance as required.
• In the initial set up period, provide ad hoc support to help create the new business – contributing to regulatory business plans, policy and system set up, etc.
• Developing a good understanding of the activities of the business and a strong working relationship with managers across the business, to be able to provide insightful analysis.
• Own the operating models for resource planning in the division.
• Aid budget creation by working with the business stakeholders to make financial plans and strategies that fit within the overall business requirements.
• Help the division meet its budget by influencing cost and income
• Support the team to maximise profitability KPIs, such as Net Interest Margin and Return on capital.
• Forecast funding requirements into the future.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and advice as required.

About You

• Fully qualified Accountant, eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Proactive approach and ability to work with colleagues from all functions of the business.
• Influencing skills
• Strong at excel and powerpoint
• Experience in financial services, including modelling loans preferable.
