Finance Business Partner - Cost
Role Purpose
The Cost Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting EUI’s strategic financial planning and cost management. This role involves close collaboration with various business departments to provide financial insights, drive cost efficiencies, and enhance business performance. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to senior management and be an important part of the business department.
Main Duties
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads to understand their strategic goals and providing financial insights. Working with departments to build robust business cases focussing on delivering long term value.
- Strategic Cost Management: Identify and help lead long term cost-saving initiatives.
- Financial Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive financial models to forecast costs and assess financial performance against budget.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Relevant business partnering experience.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in financial systems and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry (not essential).
- Experience of using finance planning tooling is desirable.
