Our Security Architecture team here at Admiral is growing! To support this growth, we are seeking to appoint an Endpoint Security Domain Architect.

The Team
The Security Architecture team sits within the CTO department. The team is structured in two parts:
- Security Enterprise & Domain Architecture – responsible for defining and maintaining the enterprise security capability model and associated security domain architectures and roadmaps
- Security Solution Architecture – responsible for defining and maintaining security solution architectures and designs, and supporting development of the enterprise security architecture
The Role
The Endpoint Security Domain Architect will work within the Security Enterprise & Domain Architecture team. The role holder will act as a subject matter expert in Endpoint Security concepts, technologies, and best practice. They will be a trusted adviser to the IT and business teams, leading the definition of the Endpoint Security capabilities, and associated strategies and technology roadmaps.
The Endpoint Security domain covers security of all forms of physical and virtual computing devices, including servers, virtual machines and hypervisors, containers, and user endpoints.
The Endpoint Security Domain Architect will drive the definition, adoption, and continual improvement of the Endpoint Security architectures, strategies, and technology roadmaps.
This will include –
- Define and maintain the Endpoint Security architecture, and associated strategies and roadmaps
- Build consensus and support for the Endpoint Security architecture
- Make the Endpoint Security architecture easy for IT teams to understand and consume
- Support pragmatic application of the Endpoint Security architecture in IT solutions
- Provide Endpoint Security architecture coaching and consultancy
- Actively maintain Endpoint Security elements of the security architecture repository
- Support the continual improvement of security domain architecture processes
Responsibilities
- Engage senior leaders and other stakeholders to understand strategic business and IT objectives and assess their implications for Endpoint Security
- Own the creation and maintenance of Endpoint Security architectures, strategies and roadmaps that will enable the business and IT objectives
- Continually engage with all relevant stakeholders to build consensus and support for the Endpoint Security architecture, strategies, and roadmaps
- Create architecture artefacts to make it easy for IT teams to quickly understand and implement the Endpoint Security controls they need (eg., principles, guardrails, patterns, building blocks)
- Actively represent and protect Endpoint Security requirements in the enterprise architecture governance processes (eg., technology procurement; architecture reviews)
- Maintain an up-to-date view of the current Endpoint Security architecture, using Admiral's standard architecture tooling and practices
- Work with the rest of the Security Architecture team to continually define and improve our processes and outputs

Requirements / Technologies
- Extensive experience of working in security architecture/strategic decision-making roles
- Expert knowledge of the concepts and technologies in multiple areas of Endpoint Security, such as
- Malware protection
- Endpoint threat detection and response
- HIDS / Host firewall
- Port control
- Application allow listing
- Secure configuration baseline
- Vulnerability and compliance scanning and management
- Hypervisor and virtualisation security
- Mobile device management / BYOD
- Container security
- General knowledge of security frameworks and practices, with a strong technical grounding
- Experience of working in large organisations in regulated sectors is desirable
The Interview Process
- There will be a two stage interview process for this position.
- Feedback on applications and interviews will take place throughout May and June.
