We’re looking for a confident and technically skilled Data Analyst to join our Customer Data team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning complex data into actionable insights and has hands-on experience with BigQuery and data visualisation tools, preferably Looker.
You’ll work across multiple teams to support strategic decision-making, optimise customer journeys, and improve operational performance through data-driven insights.
About the Team
The Customer Data department is made up of three specialist teams:
- Operations MI: Delivering reports that track key KPIs such as answer rates, agent incentives, policy sales, and retention.
- Contact MI: Analysing customer contact journeys—both agent-assisted and self-service—to personalise experiences and reduce operational costs.
- Value Analysis: Driving experimentation and process improvements through A/B testing and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using BigQuery and Looker to support business objectives.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across customer operations.
- Manage ad hoc data requests and deliver high-quality, timely analysis.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to enhance customer journeys and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence data-driven decision-making.
- Continuously improve reporting processes and data visualization standards.
- Stay up to date with best practices in cloud-based analytics and data tools.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience working with BigQuery or similar cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong data visualisation skills, ideally with Looker (or similar tools like Tableau or Power BI).
- Ability to write efficient SQL queries and work with large datasets.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering business value.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
