The Role
We are now looking for Cyber Security Engineer to join an expanding Cyber Security function.
The Cyber Security Engineer will become a member of a newly formed team who will work closely with colleagues within Admiral Financial Services and the Admiral Group. Working alongside the other Engineers, you will support the provision of a range of operational and risk management security services to the business, in addition you will help to deliver of a wide range of security improvement initiatives.
About You
We are seeking an information security or risk professional who has a strong security and technology background and who is able to get “hands on” with the platforms and tools that make up our environment.
You will be an organised, enthusiastic self-starter, a problem solver and to top it off a great communicator, able to support our internal stakeholders and liaise and directly manage any third parties that might be involved in the delivery of our security services to the business.
Skills
Essential:
- Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and cloud technologies
- Knowledge and experience in the principle security domains (e.g. architecture, logging &
- monitoring, security operations, risk management, etc.)
- Knowledge of current information security exploits and threats
- Monitoring, alert management and escalation for security solutions
- Demonstrable experience in incident management and triaging incidents
- Development of policies, standards, procedures and processes
- Experience supporting business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
- Managing third parties and partners responsible for delivering security services
- Delivering training and awareness to a range of business stakeholders
- Supporting risk assessments, IT change, projects and third party suppliers.
- The ability to learn and develop your skills and understanding across a broad range of topics
- Ability to develop and maintain a network of contacts across the business
- Ability to independently manage workload effectively
- Effective communication and interpersonal skill
- Degree level qualification in a related technology discipline (i.e. Security, Computing, Information Systems)
Desirable:
- Experience of working in the financial sector/financial products desirable
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial sector
- Cloud Technology Certifications in Azure or AWS
- Qualified CISSP or working towards qualification
