"Admiral Money are looking for a Collections Team Manager to support the Collections Team function, support colleagues, and support customers who fall into financial hardship.
About Admiral Money
Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.
The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

About the role
The role involves taking a lead in the day to day running of the team whilst we transition to a new way of working. The successful candidate will be able to quickly fit into a fast-moving, innovative, and high-profile environment, and will be required to hit the ground running. Candidates will be given responsibility and scope to set direction and lead the way, whilst very much retaining a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the day to day running of the team
- Set, monitor, and review objectives for the team in line with departmental targets
- Ensure reporting/MI is reviewed, and insights are evaluated in order to improve performance
- Represent Collections in relevant forums and update key stakeholders on the team’s activities and performance
- Ensure agreed Collections processes are being carried out to a high standard in a timely manner
- Analyse the team’s productivity and quality trends and create and implement new ideas to improve performance in these key areas.
- Prioritise workloads to meet SLAs and deliver on team objectives
- Be an SME for the team and provide guidance and support to team members
- Complete monthly call and file reviews as well as dip checks.
- Complete appraisals, 1-2-1’s, team meeting/training sessions, and back to work chats.
- Contribute positively to the existing management team, ensuring the department provides a happy, positive, and supportive working environment for staff.
Requirements
- Have a sound knowledge of collections processes and procedures
- Have the confidence to challenge existing work practices to ensure we are continuously improving as a team
- Positive outlook and able to demonstrate a positive influence on those around you
- A strong focus on quality, receptive to feedback, and effective when giving feedback to others
- Be an effective communicator, mentor and influencer with all levels of staff, verbal and written. Must have experience giving feedback.

Desirable:
- Understanding of financial services regulatory landscape and impact this may have upon our collections operation
- Experience of working with structured debt e.g. IVA, DMP’s and Bankruptcies
- Experience of working practice within the debt sale market
Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
