This is within the context of a Group-wide perspective across our UK and international operations, so some travel to international entities may be required.

The role also provides leadership support by offering guidance on emerging and ongoing risks, and by continually assessing the wider audit landscape within Technology and Change. There is an expectation that the role will also assist to drive technology and AI usage in the function.

  • Attending (observing) key meetings across the Group associated with Technology & Change; this may involve some Steering Committee attendance.
  • Leverage first and second line tech, change and data insights to inform audit planning and coverage.
  • Provide clear, concise reporting that connects control gaps to business impact and root causes.
  • Manage co-source providers/contractors, ensuring value-for-money and consistent quality.
  • Support recruitment and capability development for technology and change skills within the function.
  • Keep ahead of emerging risks (e.g., AI adoption, change techniques, cloud security posture, API risk, platform resilience, data privacy changes).
  • Support the enhancement of the function’[s data analytics and technology audit capability.
  • Support the leadership in the development of the Annual Audit plan, particularly from a change perspective.

Key Performance Targets:

  • Delivery of change and technology audits
  • Audit quality and stakeholder feedback
  • Team development
  • Contribution to Annual audit coverage
