Working in the MI and Stats team at Admiral Law we are looking for somebody who loves solving problems using data and wants to bring others along that journey as well.

You will work with Stakeholders and team members to understand the issues facing the business and generating rich data insights to help business leaders make effective decisions.

This is an ideal role if you already work within a project team and have an interest in starting a career in data or if you are an Analyst with strong data skills who is looking to get into a role where you can co-ordinate MI and BI projects.

 

As a Business Intelligence Executive, you will

  • Play a key part in the upgrade of our Business Intelligence and reporting environment which is one of our primary goals of 2023
  • Run workshops with business leaders and management to understand their requirements for reporting or dashboards
  • Be responsible for managing documentation of decisions made and communicating progress of requests
  • Maintain ownership over the backlog of work, ensuring the right work is prioritised and the team have clear direction on what to work on.
  • Be an excellent problem solver that can coach the team through blockers and help them move forward.
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with business stakeholders, as well as working with them to improve businesses data culture and literacy.
  • Monitor the usage of new and existing dashboards and reports to see where improvements can be made.
  • Produce occasional analysis to assist in reports and data for decisions
  • Coach members of the team by doing sit-bys, quality reviews and training sessions

 

Ideally you will have

(You don’t need all of them)

  • Data skills to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to analyse complex data and produce recommendations on identified trends.
  • Experience of being part of project groups or running projects.
  • Experience of coaching team members
  • A strong interest in programming languages that help us analyse data.
  • Experience of querying SQL databases and data visualisation tools such as Power BI. If you don’t have experience of this, don’t worry as we can provide training but there must be an appetite to get up to speed in the first few months of the role.
  • Experience of working with tools such as Jira/Confluence
