Autonomous Vehicle Lead

Admiral has its roots within Private insurance, primarily Motor, with a history of continuously evolving. We are looking to expand on this success to allow Admiral to move beyond Private Motor and into markets that will become increasingly important in our future. The New Motor Product Team has been set up to lead the business through expected changes in consumer behaviours, technological advances and new products and entrants to the motor insurance space. Having a clear roadmap for how we respond to changes brought about by increasing levels of Automated Vehicles is key to our strategy. You will take the lead on our partner engagement and R&D collaboration to gain clear understanding of opportunities and risk to existing business model. 

Main Duties

• Creating and maintain market overview of global AV research
• Engaging with research institutes to understand changes in future revenue streams
• Pursuing partnerships to gain early understanding of AV revenue streams
• Creating a roadmap of potential partnerships and investment opportunities.
• Engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure BAU process can handle technological advances
• With the support of your team, working closely and collaboratively with internal partners to build the required processes and procedures to help facilitate the easy implementation of projects
• Managing Admiral’s response to tenders issued by 3rd parties
• Liaising at all levels of the business, including communicating with senior management

Knowledge and Experience

• Commercially and entrepreneurially minded
• Strong networking skills and a strong network within the industry
• Experience of working within a B2B2C environment
• Experience of working with brokers, comfortable with open data / API partnerships as well as more traditional white label arrangements
• Relationship management experience, particularly experience of onboarding new partners
• Self-driven, reliable and determined team player
• A desire to embrace Admiral culture
