When it comes to looking after our colleagues, their mental health and wellbeing is right at the top of our list.

That’s why our dedicated Health and Wellbeing team is always exploring new ways to support colleagues long before a health concern becomes a worry.

One of the partnerships we’re most proud of is with Independent General Practice (iGP), an award-winning GP service based in South Wales. Together, we’ve created a proactive, accessible healthcare offering that’s already making a meaningful impact.

Putting proactive care within easy reach

Through iGP, Admiral colleagues can access free GP and nurse consultations, take part in educational webinars, and make use of free and discounted health tests - whether that’s hormone balance, testosterone levels, or other health markers.

For many colleagues, these simple tools provide reassurance, clarity, and the confidence to take control of their health journey.

Gavin’s experience

Gavin, who's been part of Admiral for 15 years and serves as a co-lead for our Men’s Health Community, recently tried one of the free hormone test kits available through the partnership.

“I’m a huge advocate of taking proactive steps to for my health, and am well aware of the important role hormones play in both physical and mental wellbeing. Undergoing the test offered me valuable peace of mind, and the process was straightforward and accessible.”

Gavin’s experience captures exactly what we hope proactive healthcare benefits can achieve for our people: autonomy and simplicity.

Supporting early detection when it matters most

We also offer PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) testing to colleagues aged 40+, despite standard NHS testing beginning at 50. With some colleagues having identified the need for further checks, it just goes to show how powerful early detection can be.

Our partnership with iGP is designed to complement NHS services, not replace them. Whether a colleague wants a second opinion, a quick conversation while waiting for an appointment, or simply reassurance, iGP offers an extra layer of support when it feels most needed.

We want every colleague to feel empowered to look after their wellbeing

Through partnerships like iGP and the dedication of our Health and Wellbeing team, we’re proud to offer care that is proactive, accessible, and truly people-first.

We’re not a multi-award-winning employer for nothing you know!
