"Join our dynamic technology team in Admiral Business as a Support and Configuration Engineer and play a key role in empowering our fast-paced business. You'll be instrumental in configuring and supporting critical platforms, developing our monitoring and alerting capabilities, and establishing robust processes that ensure seamless technical operations.

Admiral Business sit within the Admiral Group, and are the experts in business insurance, offering SME insurance for tradespeople, professionals, and couriers. They build products and services that put their customers’ first, combining agility with reliability to deliver innovative products and superior customer experience to the underserved SME market across the UK.
Please note this is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work on site in Cardiff 2 days per week
Main Responsibilities
• Configuring and maintaining technical systems, including policy administration systems, telephony platforms and high-level infrastructure configuration
• Developing and implementing processes and tools to improve efficiency
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across our technology stack
• Proactively monitoring systems and infrastructure for performance issues, errors, or security threats.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including knowledge base articles, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides
• Implementing new alerting and monitoring approaches
Required Skills and Experience
• Strong Communication skills
• Strong prioritisation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working as a support engineer
• Experience configuring complex technical platforms
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation and guides
Desirable Experience
• Experience working in the Insurance sector or other highly regulated sectors
