Senior Product Manager – Direct, In-Life & Insurance
Admiral Money are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team!
About Admiral Money
Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.
The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.
We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.
Our unsecured lending business is the cornerstone of Admiral Money - well-established, high-performing, and full of potential. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to help lead the team and drive success.
The Role
We’re seeking someone who brings leadership, customer focus, commercial awareness, and analytical thinking. This role supports the overall P&L and drives change across product development, data, digital, pricing, marketing, underwriting, and operations - ensuring we deliver excellent customer outcomes.
You’ll play a key leadership role within a small, core product team. You’ll shape strategy, lead execution, and act as a mentor and coach - supporting development and encouraging innovative thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People
- Lead strategic planning and influence senior stakeholders across the business.
- Build strong relationships within Admiral Money and across the wider Admiral Group to align on strategy and identify opportunities.
- Support the Head of Product in developing, training, and empowering the team.
Product Design & Strategy
- Own the strategy and roadmap for direct, in-life, and insurance customer journeys—defining, business casing, and delivering initiatives.
- Design and implement customer retention and in-life lending propositions.
- Collaborate with the Digital team, other product lines, and the insurance business to enhance the direct customer journey.
- Analyse performance across customer segments and identify areas for improvement.
- Optimise marketing campaigns targeting existing customers.
- Work with the Product Analyst to explore and develop new customer acquisition channels.
Commercial Focus & Financials
- Maintain a strong understanding of P&L performance and key commercial levers.
- Champion customer engagement and satisfaction, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process in alignment with the Head of Product.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- A strategic thinker who provides clear direction and earns trust.
- Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and motivating high-performing teams.
- Skilled in using analytics to generate insights and drive data-informed decisions.
- Experienced in leading fast-paced delivery teams and managing stakeholders across functions.
- Commercially focused with a results-driven mindset.
- Proactive, positive, and open to continuous improvement and experimentation.
- Awareness of project management, risk, and control frameworks.
- Committed to fostering a culture of compliance, quality, and audit-readiness, in collaboration with the Head of Compliance.
Desirable
- Senior-level experience in a cross-functional or fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex initiatives, projects, or programmes.
- Experience managing external relationships, including contract negotiation.
- Strong awareness of technology trends in the sector.
- Background in customer retention or in-life lending propositions.
- Familiarity with top-up loan propositions.
- Strong digital awareness and experience working closely with digital teams.
