InfoSec is looking for a Scrum Master/Squad Lead to join the team to lead an agile team delivering change in the fast-moving world of Information Security Delivery.

The InfoSec Scrum Master/Squad Lead has overall accountability for the success of the assigned agile team (Squad). The InfoSec Scrum Master/Squad Lead is responsible for Squad management and the effectiveness of the Squad’s ability to achieve the Key Results assigned in the monthly planning cycle. The Infosec Scrum Master/Squad Lead is also responsible for ensuring the Squad fallow Agile values and practices, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.

Responsibilities:

  • Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
  • Removing impediments for the Squad.
  • Training, mentoring and supporting agile teams (squads) to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
  • Scheduling and facilitating Squad events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
  • Planning and organising retrospectives and demos.
  • Ensuring the effective use of collaborative processes.
  • Tracking initiative processes, deliverables, and financials.
  • Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.

Key interactions:

  • Coaches Squad team members in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the smooth running of the agile team (Squad).
  • Collaborates and consults with Infosec Leadership and Business Owners.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with other agile teams across the business.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Knowledge and experience of (Scaled) Agile delivery practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Scrum/Kanban Boards, including producing effective and timely performance monitoring reporting.
  • Project management fundamentals, including management of risks and issues.
  • Knowledge and experience in using tools such as Jira, Confluence etc.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Awareness of Security Management Principles is preferred.

Preferred Professional Training/Certification:

  • SAFe5 Scrum Master Certified/Agile Project Manager Practitioner (APMG) or similar.
  • Domain-Specific Security Awareness is preferred but not essential, e.g. SANS MGT512: Security Leadership Essentials for Managers.

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
