Head of IAM

We are looking for a Head of IAM to lead, develop and implement our Identity and Privileged Access Management security programme. 

This is a newly created, business critical role that reports directly to the Tech Leadership Team. As Head of IAM you will be accountable for some of the most important controls within Admiral. You will need to be a strategic leader and a material risk taker. 

Main Duties

• Experience in leading an IAM/PAM team (Product Owners/BA/PM/Operational Leads) - that delivers transformation and obtains senior buy in, with focus on growth of the Service
• End to End ownership of IAM&PAM – Definition and execution. Issues, Programme Strategy, Roadmaps, Tactical Work, Operational etc
• Identify & Maintain growth opportunities for the team, incl gaps in skills & Training
• Facilitate decision making / roadmaps & strategy / architectural decisions/ build & shape relevant work
• Lead Design of Service & Process changes – TOM, Gaps, Introduction/Transition of Service
• Identity opportunities for service / delivery improvement based on KRI/KPI / other data points – Tactical or Strategic
• Coordinate with various stakeholders/teams towards delivery of specific objectives: from C-level to other Senior Managers, and their respective Teams
• Risk Management related to delivery / in relation to Domain Platforms/Topics – Plan for a Plan, Plan to Green, evaluate & communicate Risks & Risk Reduction approaches
• Working with the Audit Teams to implement controls that satisfy Audit requirements. Including the establishment of governance procedures, tactical/strategic controls.
• Vendor Management for Strategic Platforms and Managing a Strategic Partner (Big 4) delivering IAM&PAM Strategic systems
• Financial Management – ensuring financial planning & constraints are met, Strategic, Tactical & BAU Work is funded appropriately etc.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Able to understand and articulate on IAM/PAM topics
• Previous exposure to Delivery & Operating IAM&PAM
• Min 5 years of relevant experience in Security / IAM/PAM related roles
• Stakeholder communication / support / influence / engagement / progress update etc in business terms (articulate & measure on value being delivered)
• Able to communicate IAM/PAM to C-Level & Senior Stakeholders to obtain buyin
• High level understanding on how Core Infrastructure can be secured
• Fluency in both written & spoken English
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience delivering significant change in large organisations.

Desirable

• Exposure to Delivery of IAM &PAM for the Cloud
• Consultancy exposure (Security preferred) / Insurance/Financial services exposure
• IAM/PAM Vendor Experience/Qualifications – using / delivering on / supporting (not interested in a specific Vendor Product - any related product will do)
• Information Security related certifications
• Previous experience in growing and scaling an onsite delivery organisation.
