"Household has ambitious plans to replicate the strong market position of our UK Motor product. To achieve this, we are seeking a seasoned data professional to take on the role of Head of Household Data Insights. This pivotal position will integrate into our Household Leadership Team, contributing significantly to enhancing our data insights and driving the strategic use of analytics to improve customer experiences and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will boast a robust background in data leadership and will collaborate closely with the Data Tribe to ensure that our Data Insights team remains a vital contributor to overarching business strategies. While expertise in Home Insurance is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite. A major focus of the role will be fostering collaboration with a wide array of stakeholders, including Claims, Pricing, Product, Underwriting, Analytics, and Finance, to maximise the impact of our business processes.
A key responsibility of this role includes implementing and maintaining rigorous data controls. Adherence to the Group Data Governance Policy is essential, as is ensuring the accuracy of the data utilised within the department. We anticipate that the successful candidate will also contribute to innovation within the Household team, exploring analytics and Generative AI use cases, and facilitating their integration into operational practices.
Key Skills Required:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Expertise in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business performance and decision-making.
- Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of analysts and business professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Skilled in presenting complex data insights to senior stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions, and maintaining strong partnerships across all areas of Household.
- Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of FCA, GDPR, and insurance-specific regulations governing data use and claims processing, as well as adherence to internal data policies.
- Innovation: Familiarity with emerging technologies and data sources that can bolster our competitive edge.
Desirable Skills:
- Claims Expertise: Insight into the insurance claims lifecycle, from First Notification of Loss (FNOL) to settlement and fraud detection.
- Advanced Analytics & Modelling: Experience in predictive analytics, statistical modelling, and machine learning applications relevant to insurance.
- Planning & Forecasting: Ability to support the department through budgeting processes with accurate staffing models and forecasting tools, along with financial modelling for business changes.
Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.

Talent Partner - Tech & Data
What areas do you look after?
I look after our Tech & Data recruitment.
Tell us about you and your Admiral story?
I joined Admiral in March 2018 as a Case Handler within our Claims department. Having always had a passion for recruitment, I then joined the MBA Recruitment team in January 2021.
Why would you recommend Admiral?
There are so many reasons I would recommend Admiral, but these are my top three. First, it has to be the culture at Admiral. Everyone is so welcoming, and you really feel part of a team where everybody’s ideas and opinions count. Second, the opportunities that are available to everyone. Admiral is really unique in the way self-development is encouraged, there is a real opportunity for career growth. Third, the emphasis that is placed on work/life balance. Admiral genuinely cares about all its employees’ wellbeing and I think that’s unusual for such a large organisation.
