"Within Customer Assurance we have dedicated area for handling the cases that escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). We are looking for an analyst to join the team to help us get the most out our complaints data with the aim of improving our results, our outcomes and helps us ensure that the Admiral brand is performing well against it’s peers. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and passionate about learning. You will have to become proficient in the data platforms we use and be comfortable working independently. This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of departments and management levels within the business. This role has an excellent profile and provides great exposure. As we are one big team, the candidate will be expected to flex support across complaints areas when needed and if there is cross over with pieces of work.
Main duties
- Engage with management and business stakeholders, presenting analysis and insight. This will include producing leadership packs in line with key meetings and forums.
- Demonstrate expertise in our FOS performance.
- Manage workload, prioritising requests and ensuring accurate analysis is provided in a timely manner.
- Think creatively and identify ways to improve reporting, including better ways to present data.
- Strive to learn current data platforms used across the business to ensure competency within role.
- Represent the function within relevant meetings and forums.
- Mentor and support team to help the understanding of data and the importance of using it to drive change.
- Promote the culture of continuous improvement and identify and implement improvements that will benefit the team or business.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Analytical and problem-solving
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- An ability to work well independently and manage own workload.
- An ability to work well as part of a team providing both collaboration and support.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills and an ability to work to deadlines.
- Willingness to challenge and question processes to understand business needs.
- Desire to raise business awareness of our customer’s needs.
- Share a passion for our customers and keep them at the heart of everything we do.
- Self-starter who has the ability to set up their own structure & approach and drive the plan forward.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a data analyst or MI role.
- Knowledge of Admiral’s operational and claims processes.
- Knowledge and experience working in project delivery environments

I joined Admiral in October 2020 as a Renewals Consultant. I dealt directly with Renewals queries and then moved into the Customer Value team, dealing with mid-term customers and upselling Multi Product.
