"The Customer Engagement Tribe is looking for a driven project manager to join our thriving team and take ownership of the delivery of exciting and important programmes of work. You will report to the Customer Engagement Delivery Lead, and this role is critical to the successful delivery of our projects. Working in a fast-moving environment, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated and energetic, demonstrate strong delivery skills, excellent stakeholder management, and have supplier management experience.
Job Purpose
To take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of projects; establishing and maintaining appropriate rigour and governance controls to facilitate quality benefits-focused projects.
Main Duties
We are looking for a highly experienced project manager with a proven track record of delivering IT and business projects.
The successful individual will also ensure the optimum balance between costs, value, and benefits in delivering business-critical projects.
Working within Admiral’s IT department, the role holder will manage Customer Engagement projects from inception through delivery, ensuring that they are kept within the agreed tolerances. Projects must be fully documented and maintained, including risk/issues logs, communication logs, change control and any other controls defined in the Project Framework.
The successful candidate will be required to manage projects primarily focused on software and system implementation.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Proven and demonstrable record of successful project management.
- Technology delivery experience (both waterfall and agile).
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage work.
- Workstream planning and critical path analysis.
- Budget management experience.
- Stakeholder management and Matrix management experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong understanding of delivery methodologies (Waterfall & Agile preferred).
- Commercially aware.
Desirable:
- Relevant project management qualifications; PRINCE2, APM.
- Understanding of insurance and financial services.
- Knowledge and experience in using tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Knowledge and experience of Contact Centre platforms and the design and development of associated technologies, including Google CCAI, Twilio, Avaya, NICE, and Verint.
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape (FCA, PRA, etc.).

Tell us about you and your Admiral story?
I joined Admiral in February 2012 as a Sales Executive and quickly grew fond of Admiral and its culture. It was clear there were many opportunities and different career paths. I moved over to our Claims function in 2014 as a Case Handler and from there I moved into Claims Underwriting, which lead to an opportunity to work in our IT department in a semi-technical role. I gained valuable insight into a side of the business that I never thought would have been possible. The time was then right to move into our People Services department where I have been since November 2018.
