Do you have an interest in problem-solving and looking for an opportunity to start a career in data, or are you an experienced analyst seeking a new challenge?  If so, we have a great opportunity for you in the MI Hub area of our Data & Analytics department.

As a Data Analyst you will help support the wider business with their reporting and business intelligence needs.  The role requires the development of end-to-end data solutions, from requirements gathering to insight, and provides exposure to many business areas.

Meet the Team

The MI Hub provides centralised reporting, analytics and insight services to the business whilst endeavoring to reduce duplication, drive best practice, promote self-service, and support other data teams.  We promote a culture of mutual support, creative thinking and making sure we enjoy ourselves in the process.

About you

  • You’re numerically minded, with a logical approach to problem solving and an attention to detail.
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • You’re confident in making suggestions when they see there is a better alternative. 
  • You’re self-driven and proactive and can learn new information quickly.

Coding experience isn’t strictly required as any necessary training or coaching will be provided.  However, if you already have experience using Admiral’s data, SQL, BigQuery, MicroStrategy or Looker, this would be helpful for your application.

What you will do

  • Provide data analysis and easily digestible business reports in a timely fashion.
  • Collaborate with business areas to ensure the collation of clear requirements.
  • Ensure a high level of data quality through documenting processes, reconciling results, and conforming to Data Governance standards.
  • Maintain good communication with customers and provide regular updates where required.
  • Continuously develop knowledge in all aspects of the business to help provide analysis and insight.
  • Proactively challenge and support decision making within the business and projects.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to the culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and personal development within the department.
  • Support the business by encouraging the self-service of information.

Interview process

There will be a pricing test and a 1 stage interview. 

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
