"Being part of the Clinical Negligence (CN) Team in Admiral Law means making a real difference to someone’s life. The skills required of a case handler in CN will test you in every possible way, from your legal and technical knowledge to empathy and patience with people who have suffered life-changing events. The journey our clients and their families will go through, require a representative who embodies all these things.
Admiral Law continues to grow with an ever-expanding client base, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new case handler within CN to work exclusively with medical negligence claims.
About the role:
Admiral Law are looking to recruit a junior clinical negligence claims handler (Grade C Solicitor/Legal Executive or experienced paralegal) to join an existing team based in our Cardiff or Newport office.
The successful candidate will be expected to be capable of handling and assisting with claims having a wide range of complex issues and values.
Experience of litigation and clinical negligence claims is desirable but not essential, however you must have experience of handling personal injury claims.
This is a permanent role. Depending upon the experience of the successful candidate, the first 6 months will involve either assisting others in the running of a caseload or handling such claims under supervision. The role will continue thereafter with the successful candidate running their own caseload.
At present we are continuing to work from home where possible. However, at least the first month in this role would need to be office based. Thereafter we have the option for hybrid working.
About you:
We are looking for an organised and analytical individual who can work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines can be tight. You’ll have excellent communication and client care skills, plus a good level of IT literacy. You will be enthusiastic and driven and above all, will want to be part of a winning team.
What do we offer:
This is an opportunity to work with an expanding but already well-established team of clinical negligence lawyers who are top of their game. Exposure to some of the most complicated and technically demanding cases that we deal with doesn’t arise often. We support our staff through mentoring, supervision, training and development, utilising internal and external courses. Working directly with our most experienced case handlers is something that cannot be replicated in a seminar.
About Admiral Law:
Our success goes hand-in-hand with having a strong culture where we put our people and customers first. Our philosophy is simple yet effective: people who like what they do, do it better, and this, in turn, means that our customers receive the level of service and products that they deserve. Our culture is honest, open and wholeheartedly focused on four key areas: Communication, Equality, Reward & Recognition, and Fun.
Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
At Admiral, we are proud to be a diverse business where we put our people and customers first. We have great benefits to ensure employees have a great work-life balance; it's one of the reasons why we're consistently voted one of the Sunday Times’ Best Big Companies to work for in the UK. We want you to have an element of freedom to define a working lifestyle that supports this, so accommodate flexible hours wherever possible.
