Bank holidays are great, but flexibility is even better! 

At Admiral, we have the option to swap bank holidays that aren’t business-close-days for days that mean more to us.  

Whether that’s for a religious date, an important milestone, or simply because you fancy it – you can choose to work the bank holiday and take the time off elsewhere in the year. 

Our colleague, Tom, has made use of floating holidays to make the most of quieter beach staycations with his dog. 

“My wife and I love to explore our favourite beaches along West Wales with our dog, Scully. Bank holiday weekends are usually the busiest times for these beaches, so swapping them for off-peak days usually work out in our favour! 

“My job also requires a lot of quiet focus, so actually, being in work while a lot of people are off can be quite beneficial in that sense too. It’s great to have this type of flexibility as it means that my time away from work to reset and recharge is spent in a way that works for me.”
