Hello, I’m Natasha I’m a Lawyer employed by Admiral Law and manage a team of Disputes and Litigation Case handers.
Before my Admiral career began, I qualified in 2008, a time when, traditionally if your face didn’t fit, you didn’t last very long. Goodness knows how I managed to stay in the game for so long!
From acting and dancing to becoming a Lawyer
Originally, I trained as an actress and dancer performing on stage since I was three - even touring Europe. I decided to change career paths when my Dad said I needed to get a proper job and I wasn’t prepared to live on beans on toast whilst waiting for that big break!!!
I’ve been with Admiral for three years, and having been brought up in private practice, the change in culture is very different to what I’ve been used to. Admiral encourages you to bring your whole self to work. This is made easy because there are no restrictions on expressing yourself via your appearance. Here, value is placed on what you bring to an occasion, rather than what you are wearing to it!
An idea turned into creation of a new role and team
Admiral isn’t scared to take risks. They actively encourage you to come forward with new ideas, all they ask is that you give it your best shot and if it does work, they will back you to make it permanent. That’s what happened to me, I’ve seen my mustard seed of an idea flourish and created my own role and new team with the backing of the business.
Adding value to her role in different ways
I love the work hard, play hard attitude, and the fact I get so much support from Admiral makes me want to go that extra mile. As part of the Diversity and Inclusion cohort, the work that I do here adds value not only to the business but also to my career. I’ve been encouraged and supported to network and ask questions. This isn’t something I had the opportunity to do in my previous employment.
With Admiral I’m growing in every way and I’m excited about what the future holds.
