Software Developer - Confused.com

Customer Experience is at the heart of our business and we’re looking for a Software Developer to help enhance the on-site experience for the millions of customers who come back to us time after time.

About the role

You’ll be working at the heart of the dynamic and fast-paced Confused.com Customer team, using agile methodologies to drive change.

Your insight and skills will help to drive constant, iterative improvements to our customer portal area, the heart of our site which is seen by millions of people every week.

You’ll shape wider initiatives to enhance sector-leading customer experience across the business – and you’ll be able to see the impact that your solutions are having.

You’ll collaborate within the wider Confused.com family, demonstrating your ideas to help cross-fertilise ideas and methodologies and spark change.

Thanks to the close collaboration and a constant sharing of ideas, you’ll be able to continually develop your knowledge and skills. 

Who we’re looking for

• A team player able to collaborate effectively to develop ideas, share knowledge and ensure quality
• Someone who can maintain critical thinking while balancing multiple tasks
• You’ll be able to make decisions on your feet and drive results forward
• You’ll probably have a strong intellectual curiosity and want to find out how things – and people – work
• We’d like someone who has experience of working in an Agile environment (using Scrum, Kanban or Lean)
• You’ll focus on quality and take great pride in your work, and you’ll also enjoy helping develop your own skills as well as those of the people around you
• And you’ll be able to express yourself with clarity, having excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Skills we are looking for

• Net development using C#
• ASP.NET
• SQL 2012-2017
• Sitecore
• XML/XSLT/XPath
• WCF, REST, SOAP, API development
• Microsoft Azure & Azure DevOps (aka TFS and VSTS)
• Unit testing using Moq and other frameworks
