Senior Fraud and Insights Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Admiral Financial Services for a Senior Fraud & Insights Analyst. The role involves taking the initiative on fraud risk data, producing actionable insights into customer behaviour and producing proposals for enhancing our risk management and customer onboarding strategies.

The successful candidate will be able to quickly fit into a fast-moving, innovative and high-profile environment, and will enjoy having the responsibility to set direction, whilst retaining a hands-on approach.

Main Duties

  • Reporting and monitoring the effectiveness of our acquisition onboarding process, across a range of channels and products, with focus on fraud, affordability and income verification
  • Designing, developing and deploying effective and efficient customer resolution tools and strategies, producing actionable proposals and implementation plans
  • Producing insight into customer behaviours in order to improve the detection of fraud and to propose improvements to our customer journeys
  • Assessing new data sources, tools and techniques to ensure the quality of our resolution is maintained in a fast-changing external environment
  • Providing a wide range of analytical work to support the Acquisition team’s objectives, and support a range of ad-hoc projects and deliverables

Essential Skills & Experience

  • At least two years’ analytical experience within a credit or fraud risk function is essential
  • Experience of extracting, manipulating and evaluating data using SAS/SQL (or similar data tools such as R and Python)
  • Demonstrable numerate background, preferably with a degree in a numerical subject
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint to produce clear documents and analysis, presenting complex information in an effective manner
  • Experience of working with application resolution strategies and customer affordability calculations
  • Strong planning/organisation skills with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise workloads, and support with wider projects
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and attention to detail, including writing and sharing full noting papers and change proposals

Experience of working with the following would also be an advantage, but is not essential:

  • Unsecured personal loans or motor finance
  • Price comparison websites
  • Open banking/PSD2
  • Scorecards/model development
