Pricing Analyst - Travel Insurance

You’ll be part of Admiral’s Travel Insurance team, where you’ll support the strategy of the product through pricing reviews and evaluation of customer segments. Your role will involve working as a team member of a close-knit team of 6 to interpret data efficiently and make suggestions for pricing changes as well as strategy for external data sources we could use to improve our pricing. Someone in this role would also be involved with technical implementation of pricing changes and testing and ensuring the pricing engine works smoothly.

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic graduate with good numerical skills who is a fast-learner, willing to learn programming skills using SAS and other related software used for manipulating and evaluating big data. The successful candidate should be ready to take on new challenges and be focused on execution.

Training for the role will be provided under the mentorship of Pricing Manager. You will be part of an exclusive team of 6 people and will have plenty of opportunity to interact and learn from others.

Prior work experience is not required for the role but the candidate must demonstrate willingness to work hard and succeed through prior college course-work and/or extracurricular activities.

Main Responsibilities

This is a broad role in which we expect you to be our pricing/data expert reference point and you will:

• Review pricing structure and recommend changes based on analysis of performance of different customer segments
• Review external data sources for value to insurance pricing and make recommendations
• Create and run regular reports that highlights performance by different segments
• Act as a liaison for pricing department and answer any customer queries related to pricing
• Implement and test Pricing related changes being implemented in the system

Experience and qualifications required

• 2.1 or higher in a numerate degree such as Mathematics, Engineering or Economics
• Good Excel Skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and priorities
• Highly motivated and ability to work off your own initiative
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience with any programming language is preferred; in-house training will be provided to adapt to the role’s requirements
