More about the job

We’re looking for someone to join the team who enjoys using research and data to communicate effectively to users.

You’ll be part of a dynamic team, working closely with UX researchers, designers, content and marketing teams and product managers. You’ll collaborate, keep stakeholders involved and champion content design by communicating the right message at the right time to the right audience. All this while maintaining a consistent brand tone of voice throughout.

About the role

You’ll know how to use language and hierarchy to help users understand complicated processes and concepts, while also adhering to brand guidelines to make sure we always communicate with a consistent voice.

Teamwork is essential in this role, so you’ll be someone who enjoys working with others, brainstorming or analysing briefs together to deliver compelling solutions time after time.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’ll know how to work as part of a close-knit team, using agile methodology as well as an agile mindset in the work you produce.

  • You’ll be good at managing relationships across a broad team that includes senior people from just about every department in our business.
  • You’ll have an understanding of user research and testing methods and how they impact content design decisions.
  • You’ll need to understand users’ requirements, and be able to work closely with UX designers to find the best way to structure and communicate engaging content.
  • You’ll have an understanding of content and visual hierarchy.
  • You’ll enjoy the challenge of creating solutions that meet user needs and business objectives, that also look appealing.
  • You’ll be able to clearly articulate your design approach and the rationale behind it.

Skills we are looking for:

  • Creative, conceptual thinking
  • Ability to write UX content including micro-copy
  • Ability to write long copy and to proofread
  • Good understanding of UX methodologies to identify user needs and understand how to answer those needs
  • Experience of simplifying complex content
  • Ability to analyse and use data and research when creating content
  • Ability to work independently and stick to deadlines
  • Great attention to detail
  • Experience of Adobe XD is a bonus

Taking time off work to be with your new family is very important and we recognise that many fathers, partners and adopters want to be more hands on and involved with the care of their children. We are committed to supporting our staff when they go through parenthood and a valued source of support is provided by our Parental Leave policies. The policies allow staff to spend cherished time at home with their family, so that when they return to work, they can thrive and flourish.   Our policies go above the statutory pay requirements to encourage our staff to take more time at home when they become parents. As long as you've worked for us for 26 weeks, you can expect the following benefits. Maternity LeaveEmployees receive 16 weeks of full pay, followed by 23 weeks statutory maternity payPaternity LeaveEmployees receive 2 weeks full pay, 2 weeks statutory paternity pay and 12 days of unpaid leave (should they wish to take it)Shared Parental LeaveWhen both parents work for Admiral they can share the 16-weeks full pay benefit.
