The role:

We are looking for a developer to work on two of the most ground-breaking projects Admiral has ever undertaken, which will help shape how data is processed in Admiral for years to come. You will work on a team dedicated to developing pipelines to land data in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) from various applications and sources around Admiral. This data will be consumed by many areas of the business, including for use by a market leading BI tool and by our Pricing and Analytics departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• To work within the Agile Scrum framework
• To work with stakeholders from the business to design and deliver data solutions that help provide insight
• Work alongside a talented team consisting of Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Testers, a Scrum Master and a Product Owner
• Identify opportunities for knowledge transfer and provide, where appropriate 
• Development of technical solutions with adherence to relevant technologies and coding standards 
• Competently use code repository and promotion tools 

Required Experience and Skills:

• Working knowledge of GCP
• Awareness of working in an Agile environment
• Three plus years’ experience in a similar business intelligence development, engineering or analysis role
• Advanced SQL programming skills
• Strong experience in ETL processes
• Experience designing and developing data pipelines and data warehouses from scratch
• Programming experience with Python
• Data Analyst experience
