"The Insight team provides market-leading services enabling insurers to provide the right products, to the right customers, at the right time, and for the right price.
Capitalising on the successes attained in the car, home and van insurance markets, we are able to hire a Sales Manager to drive growth in existing and new markets.
You will target new and existing prospects, develop new contacts, build new relationships, and most importantly secure new subscriptions through high value negotiations.
Reporting to the Insight P&L Owner in this consultative sales role, you will be expected to work towards realistic but challenging sales targets while building a loyal client base. A strong background in B2B sales is preferred. You will also have a great deal of influence internally as you collaborate with the Insight P&L Owner, Analytics Manager and Product Owner to help inform the development of new services to maximise revenue.
As building meaningful and productive relationships is a key element of this role, there will be a requirement for regular face-to-face contact and external meetings (currently video calls). There will be an expectation of travel within the UK and, less frequently, Europe. The role may involve participation in professional and social networking events. Knowledge of data analytics and insurance would be a benefit (but is not essential) and there will be an expectation to work closely with the Confused.com Commercial and Data teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to and execute the sales business plan, to include the delivery of budgeted revenue and meeting sales targets
- Constantly seek new opportunities to expand customer portfolio and increase customer pipeline, through new account development
- Excellent commercial awareness of sector and ability to construct attractive propositions to win business
- Identify business development opportunities by building relationships with external partner organisations
- Establish strong and effective relationships both externally and internally with key stakeholders
- Review data with an ability to articulate findings and use it to inform decision-making
- Agreement and maintenance of contractual terms. Negotiations can often be complex and may involve both internal and external legal representatives
- Understand market trading conditions and developments in the industry
