About Veygo

Veygo is an independent company built and owned by Admiral operating within the Admiral Pioneer business.

Admiral Pioneer is a new business within Admiral Group with the objective of seeding, launching, and scaling new businesses that will become one of the growth engines for Admiral in the future. Veygo is one of these new businesses and at the forefront of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) revolution, providing transport solutions for customers with and without cars. We want to make life easier for those wishing to share cars, use their own temporarily, or for learner drivers looking to practice in a family member’s or friends’ car. In short, we want to help people be able to get behind the wheel of a car, even if they don’t own one.

Our journey started in 2016 and it has been a challenging and exciting few years to disrupt the sector and show that tech allows us to provide great products, and in a way that is in line with the modern-day lifestyle. We are building a dynamic and energizing environment where we will provide all the excitement and freedom of a scale-up but with the support and stability of an established large organisation. As of today, we have a strong team of 60, but with a clear idea of where we want to go in the next few years, we need to strengthen it to keep pushing forward. About the Role

All of our teams are full-stack: we have no time for knowledge silos and we do everything we can to make sure our teams can work on anything and everything. A typical day can mean creating infrastructure, building back-end APIs, building a great user-journey, or improving our delivery pipeline.

As an Agile Coach, your duties will be split between typical line management responsibilities and leading, improving, participating, and supporting the Agile methodologies used in Veygo.

We’re a tech start-up, not an established insurance brand - this means the pace is fast, the days are varied, but the work is energetic and very rewarding. You can expect to collaborate with other departments across the brand from marketing to customer service, and data to claims.

Main Duties

  • Coach and drive continuous improvement of Veygo’s Agile methodologies to ensure teams deliver high-quality products as efficiently as possible
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, feedback, continuous improvement, and support
  • Own and successfully implement various Agile initiatives or events
  • Identify and report on metrics and KPIs to support high-quality delivery teams
  • Lead agile ceremonies like retrospectives, demos, and sprint planning
  • Provide clear documentation on the ways of working within Veygo
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and coach stakeholders in Veygo’s methodologies
  • Provide and share feedback to stakeholders, teams, and functions to drive continuous improvement
  • Support and protect the teams from unnecessary distractions
  • Provide strong mentorship to the Scrum Masters, acting as a coach in supporting and driving the Agile culture in Veygo
  • Manage the performance and absence of direct reports
  • Actively assist in the personal and educational development of direct reports

Skills and Experience Required

  • 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master
  • 2+ years experience of managing people
  • 2+ years leading or facilitating large meetings for training sessions and/or workshops
  • Proven ownership of Agile initiatives that include engaging with stakeholders and the wider business
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledgable in Agile development practices such as Scrum, Lean, and Kanban
  • Strong experience working with Agile delivery tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
